The status of Dirty Linen Night, discussed here, is known! It appears that the *FREE* Dirty Linen Night is still on for August 8th from 6-9pm, despite the Vieux Carre Soiree's simultaneous, more corporate (read: cheesy) pirate-themed event. I encourage everyone to participate in Dirty Linen Night as it was meant to be: a *FREE* open gallery event with beautiful art, wine sipping and sans pirates. This is Royal Street afterall, not Bourbon.

Wine sipping pirates at art events...there's just something so amazing about that idea that it makes me want to vomit. Maybe we can have clown night on Julia Street...or antebellum night on St. Claude...
